Breast Cancer Awareness Month
Every year, more than 2.3 million women worldwide are diagnosed with breast cancer, making it the most common cancer among women. In the United States alone, 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime. While advances in treatment have improved survival rates, the journey to healing is far from over. Across all cancers, nearly 10 million lives are lost each year, and countless individuals and families face the daily challenges of diagnosis, treatment, and recovery.
This October, BENEV proudly stands with the Image Reborn Foundation and Dr. Renato Saltz—one of our treasured Medical Advisory Board members—who has dedicated himself to empowering breast cancer survivors through hope and healing. The Image Reborn Foundation provides transformative, no-cost retreats that offer support, community, and renewal to women on their journey after breast cancer.
The impact of this foundation goes beyond words, restoring confidence and a sense of belonging to those affected. At BENEV, we are committed to supporting this life-changing mission and encourage you to join us.

Renato Saltz
MD, FACS, Founder of Image Reborn
Dr. Saltz is a Board Certified plastic surgeon, Diplomat of the American Board of Plastic Surgery, the American Board of Surgery, and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He past-President of the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ISAPS), past-President of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS), and past-President of the Rocky Mountain Association of Plastic Surgeons. He is an Adjunct Professor of Plastic Surgery at the University of Utah and a Clinical Professor of Plastic Surgery at University Federal Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He is an Honorary Member of the Brazilian Society of Plastic Surgeons and the Turkish Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. He is the Trustee for ASAPS & ISAPS and serves as Visiting Professor for both Societies.
