The establishment of an advisory board of research scientists is another step forward in this commitment. Working with our resident BENEV scientists, the board will issue recommendations for research directions, ingredients, formulas, and protocols. |

Dr. Ahmed H. Al-Qahtani holds a PhD in Immunology from the University of California Irvine and an MS in Clinical Microbiology from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology. He is an assistant professor of medicine at UAE University College of Medicine, postdoctoral scholar at the Center for Immunology at UC Irvine, and president of the LaJolla Institute for Research. Dr. Al-Qahtani serves as a reviewer for the Autoimmunity Journal, and he is a member of the American Association of Immunologists and the American Society for Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics. Awards include the Sheikh Rashid Al-Maktoum (Ruler of Dubai) award for achievements in higher education (2003) and a National Institute of Health fellowship (2008). |

Richard C. Jin earned an MA in Medical Sciences from the Boston University School of Medicine and a BS in Biology from the University of California Irvine. His research interests include cardiovascular disease, antioxidant enzyme properties, cell signaling, cellular redox mechanisms, free radical induced oxidant stress, and mechanisms of atherosclerosis. Currently, he holds a position as a graduate research student at Harvard Medical School Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Department of Medicine, Cardiovascular Laboratory. Mr. Jin is also a research associate for BENEV Company Inc. Previously, he worked at the Boston University School of Medicine Whitaker Cardiovascular Institute as a graduate research student and as a research associate at Zymo Research Inc. Mr. Jin has recently published articles in Stroke and Microcirculation. |
